Are You Going to Sea Beaches?
Tsunamis are huge sea waves triggered by an underwater earthquake, landslide or volcanic eruption. It consists of not one but a series of waves that can be very long and have the ability to travel a huge distance without loss of energy. A surprising feature about them is that on the ocean surface they can be as small as just a foot in height, which is why they can’t be noticed so easily. However, this featured is more than made up by its speed which is as fast as a commercial jet. As Tsunamis hit the shore, they cause enormous devastation to life and property as was witnessed in 2004, 2012 and 2018. People who reside in locations affected by a tsunami take months to recover from it. Tips for Travelers What can travelers coming for a vacation do when they have to face it and…. are not they better off avoiding visiting such locations than preparing themselves for a tsunami onslaught during a family vacation? Usually people who are affected by Tsunamis don’t get information about it till the last minute. When the warning about this disaster is issued, the first thing to do is stay away from beach areas as these are the first spots to be affected by it. Ask the hotel if they have set in place any emergency drills or evacuation plans to help people staying inside and if so, how it should be followed and the circumstances under which they will conduct a drill. If you already booked your flights and hotels and there is a tsunami warning in that particular beach. How are your going to face this loss. In this regard, a travel insurance will help you to compensate your loss. If you reached already that place and there is a tsunami warning, you can consult the tsuami.gov or safety department. You can move to the higher area from low laying areas. I am going to share "8 GREAT TIPS FOR SURVIVAL AT SEA". Check the following videos and logon to www.gsehotels.com which is a travel blog.
